Children's Dentistry
Dr. Saha takes special pride and extreme care in treating children. Her patients include adults and children over the age of 3 years.
As a parent, you have a big role to play in keeping your child's teeth healthy and clean. You can help prevent cavities. Prevention starts early in life at home, with good eating habits and daily cleaning of the teeth. Habits and values acquired early in life are the foundation for lifelong of dental health.
When a dentist says your child needs a filling in a baby tooth, the first question that may come to your mind is, "Since the tooth is going to fall out, why bother?"
Some primary (or baby) teeth will be in your child's mouth until age 12. The tooth that needs to be fixed may be one of those.
Broken teeth or teeth that are infected can hurt your child's health and the way your child feels about him or herself.
To do a filling, the dentist removes the decay and "fills" the hole with metal, plastic or other material. A filling can be a cheap and easy way to fix a problem that could be painful and cost more later because it stops decay from spreading deeper into the tooth.
If a filling is not done and decay spreads, the tooth may need to be pulled out. If this happens, your child may need a space maintainer to hold space for the permanent tooth.
When a baby (or primary) tooth is missing, the teeth on each side may move into the space. They can block the permanent tooth from coming in. To hold the space, your dentist may put a plastic or metal space maintainer on the teeth on each side of the space, to keep the teeth from moving in.

Sedation
Sedation Dentistry, sometimes called Relaxation Dentistry, refers to the way dentist's manage pain and anxiety during dental appointments.
In Conscious Sedation, the patient is in a minimally depressed level of consciousness that retains his or her ability to independently and continuously maintain an airway and respond appropriately to physical stimulation and verbal command. One very important aspect of sedation dentistry is the use of an oxi-pulsimeter. This piece of equipment allows the continuous monitoring of blood oxygen saturation, pulse and blood pressure.
Unlike General Anesthesia where a patient is completely unconscious, asleep, and unable to respond, patients under Conscious Sedation, are able to respond to commands and breath on their own.

Lumineers
LUMINEERS® by CERINATE® are porcelain veneers that offer the painless way to a permanently whiter and perfectly aligned smile. Dr. Saha can apply these contact lens-thin “smile shapers” to teeth without any grinding or shaving, transforming teeth into a naturally beautiful smile that looks perfect for every individual. LUMINEERS can even be placed over existing crown or bridgework without having to replace them.
LUMINEERS are contact lens-thin and are placed over existing teeth without having to remove tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers). LUMINEERS is the painless, permanent cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth.
LUMINEERS can only be made from patented Cerinate porcelain unavailable anywhere other than the Cerinate Smile Design Studio. In just two or three visits to our office, you can have a custom-made smile that is clinically proven to last over twenty years - and it is completely reversible since your natural tooth structure is still intact! Get your perfect smile today!
Lumineers are appropriate for some people. Whether they would be good for you is something Dr. Saha can tell you only after an examination. Cosmetic dentistry isn't so simple as just pasting some veneers over the top of someone's teeth and letting the lab do the rest. The lab cannot make up for what the dentist doesn't know.

HAPPY CLIENTS
After having periodontal disease for years, I went to Dr. Saha, I had 4 teeth removed on the bottom and plate inserted that looked natural and was comfortable to wear. I thought I would soon loose the other teeth, but that was 25 years ago! Dr. Saha helped me to keep my teeth all of these years. I am currently in the process of receiving implant based dentures and at 63, I'm fine with this next step in life. So I highly recommend Dr. Saha!
